Tips for a clean signature

Sign slowly in one motion, use a thicker pen on touchscreens, and tap Undo to redo just the last stroke instead of starting over.

How to draw your signature

No stylus required — a trackpad or finger works fine.

  1. Set your pen

Choose an ink color and pen width before you start. Thicker pens read better at small sizes.

  2. Sign the pad

Click and drag, or use your finger on a touchscreen. Undo any stroke you don't like.

  3. Download the PNG

We crop tightly to your ink and export a transparent PNG at 3× resolution.

Handwritten signature questions

Can I sign on my phone?

Yes. The pad supports touch, so you can sign with your finger on a phone or tablet and download the PNG straight away.

Does it save my signature?

No. The drawing lives only in your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded or stored, and it's gone when you close or refresh the page.

Is the background transparent?

Yes. The export is a transparent PNG cropped to your ink, so it sits cleanly on any document or background.

My signature looks shaky with a mouse — any tips?

A mouse is harder than a pen. Try signing larger and slower, or use the typed generator for a clean, consistent look.
